Australian Designer Chrissy Leighton, Creative Director of Chrissy L Accessories, continues to wow the US Fashion scene and last night a personal dream of hers came to fruition with 30 Rock Star and Hollywood Creative Dynamo (behind films such as Mean Girls) Tina Fey adorning her Oscars Outfit with the ‘Lust’ Ring from her launch US collection which has just hit the US Market and launched last week in Australia under the ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ banner.
Designer Leighton spent two weeks in the US in the lead up to the Oscars meeting with key stylists and agents securing herself distribution through not only Macy’s as previously reported but also Intermix – a high end female dominated fashion chain. During her time in the US Chrissy visited Project, one of the countries biggest fashion expo’s for up and coming design talent in Las Vegas and it was here the label gifted several stylists and publicists who dress the likes of Dakota Fanning, Demi Moore, Jennifer lopez and Fey.
Fey’s Fashion star is certainly on the rise after her Cover appearance on the March 2010 Vogue in the US in a story entitled; Tina Fey: Learning to Dress Like a Star and her Oscar’s turn will no doubt see coverage for Chrissy L in the famed pages of Vogue.
The Coverage in high end glossies on the Oscars guarantee’s Chrissy Leighton is no doubt going to further her stronghold on the Fashion Accessories Market in the USA and position Designer Chrissy Leighton for a HUGE 2010.
“The Label’s Luxe for Less appeal has been a huge hit with stylists and magazines alike in the US Market”, says Leighton.
“It’s not uncommon for stars now to mix fashion jewellery with high end couture and I am so proud to have achieved this in the teething stage of the business’ launch in the US”.
With Market Week in the US beginning this week (Market Week brings stylists and journalists direct to the agent and PR responsible for the label) – the timing of Fey wearing the piece couldn’t have come at a better time.
This is one power mum proving with the determination and drive that you can truly mix with the best of the best – and what better playground to prove this – then the Oscars.
