Today, V i X continues to be a leader in the swim and resort wear categories creating the perfect pieces for the beach baby, the active teen, and the stylish chic woman.
Growing up in the small beach town of Vitoria in Brazil, Paula Hermanny spent most of her days as a girl in a swimsuit. As a young adult, her love of travel brought her to San Diego to study English, while still being able to enjoy the beach life. Frustrated by the lack of stylish and functional swimwear in the U.S. market, Paula decided to pursue her design dreams focusing on the contemporary swim market. V i X, whose name is a derivative of her hometown Vitoria, was thus started in 1998, with a small capsule collection of brazilian-cut bikinis. Since then V i X has evolved into a vast collection of swim and resort wear including bikinis, tankinis, one-pieces, sarongs, caftans, and beach dresses for the resort, spring, and summer seasons, and beyond. With the huge success of the V i X collections, Paula has since been able to branch out by launching Sofia by V i X, a whimsical and flirty line for the teen market, and Hermanny by V i X, a sophisticated and simple collection for women wanting more coverage and support. Most recently, Paula has introduced vixbambino, an adorable mini swim collection for baby and children inspired by her young daughter.
When designing the collection each season Paula travels around the world in search of the most beautiful beach destinations for inspiration and materials. These details add the perfect finishing touches, whether they be dainty details such as seashells, embroidery, or the hottest shapes and fabrics. V i X's main focus is fit and function - each piece is sold separately in order to create the perfect suit for all body types.
With a celebrity roster of fans that includes Jennifer Aniston, Denise Richards, Eva Langoria, and Heidi Klum, V i X is one of the most sought after swim and resort labels for the sexiest women in the world.
